Justin Griffin

Communications

Justin brings more than two decades of video production, writing, and strategic communications experience to the Free Up Foundation, shaping how we tell stories that move hearts, shift mindsets, and inspire action.

Across his 20-year career, Justin has worked at the intersection of entertainment, digital media, and social impact—producing documentary shorts, long-form video content, and written resources designed to make complex issues understandable and deeply human. His work has supported nonprofits, community coalitions, and mission-driven organizations that rely on clarity, credibility, and emotional resonance to advance change.

What makes Justin’s contribution to Free Up especially powerful is not only his professional craft, but his personal experience in recovery. He understands, from the inside, the challenges people face when battling addiction— and the transformative potential of programs that treat the whole person. This perspective infuses his storytelling with authenticity, dignity, and an unwavering commitment to truth. Justin knows what real recovery requires, and he uses communications to elevate solutions that actually work.

Throughout his career, Justin has seen how thoughtful, well-executed projects can open doors, shift perspectives, and bring people together around a shared mission. At Free Up, he is driven by the organization’s clear focus on accountability, recovery-centered care, and expanding genuine opportunity for those too often left behind. His work ensures that Free Up’s message is not only heard, but felt, and that the stories of transformation happening across the country become impossible to ignore.
